One of my favorite things about this collection is how each project represents a different level of badge making.
The Hacker Boba Badge Buddy focuses on foundational soldering skills. Builders work with through-hole components, LEDs, resistors, a switch, a battery holder, and a self-contained power source.
The Crown SAO demonstrates how a small add-on can receive power through a standard badge connector without needing its own battery or microcontroller.
The Agency Wand moves into embedded systems, addressable LEDs, firmware, power optimization, motion sensing, user configuration, bootloaders, and interactive hardware.
Together, they show the progression I have been working toward: taking ideas that begin as artwork or fun conference concepts and learning the technical skills required to turn them into physical, functional devices.
I still have plenty to learn, but that is part of what makes badge making exciting. Every design introduces a new challenge, whether it involves PCB layout, choosing components, improving battery life, writing firmware, troubleshooting hardware, or figuring out how to make the final design feel like something uniquely mine.
